BIOS information, read-only by design

What it shows

• Motherboard maker and model
• BIOS vendor, version and release date as the firmware reports them
• The same facts on the configuration card in My Profile and My PC
• A link to the manufacturer's official support page, opened in your own browser

What it will never do

There is no BIOS update, no flashing and no firmware download anywhere in the product. A failed flash can end a motherboard, and that is not a risk any diagnostic tool should take on your behalf. The app gives you the version and the official page; the decision and the procedure stay with you and your engineer.

Where BIOS settings do come up

In a prescription, when the evidence points there. A PC crashing in several different ways, for example, gets a step asking your engineer to set the BIOS back to defaults, because an unstable XMP or EXPO memory profile produces exactly that scatter of crashes. That is advice for a person, not an action the app takes.
